Day 01- Arrive Rome or Florence

 

Welcome in Italy. Upon arrival into airport make your way to your beautiful Hotel Spaltenna’s Castle  in Gaiole in Chianti (SI) and check in. The rest of the day is for you to relax and to admire the view of Chianti’s Hills

 

Day 02 – Siena

 

After breakfast you go to the Siena and here met  our English speaking  guide to visit this little jewel in Tuscany: Siena is in the UNESCO world heritage list and this wonderful itinerary through its most important places gives you a general idea of this city peculiarity.

From the Basilica of St. Dominic’s - where, since many centuries, St. Catherine’s relics are revered - we go along the old Via Francigena, Siena’s Medieval backbone. The headquarters of the oldest bank in Europe called Monte dei Paschi are to be found along it. Then the noble Sienese elegant mansions accompany us to the Cathedral dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption.

This superb example of a Gothic architecture has got a rich art patrimony : Michelangelo, Donatello, Bernini and Giovanni Pisano left here some of their most well known masterpieces.

The natural end of our itinerary is the famous Piazza del Campo. Its special shape seems to hug the guest and invite him to preserve in his memory the experience of a journey through time.

When you come back at your hotel, a magical candlelit dinner awaits here (menu of 4 courses, drinks non included)

 

Day 03 – Wine tour

 

The beautiful ruby-red colour and the characteristic bouquet with scents of violet are the special features that reveal the identity of one of the most famous wines in the world: Chianti.
This wine results from the wise blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and originates from the hilly area from which it draws its name.
Our expert and witty tour leaders will lead you to the discovery of the breathtaking, uncontaminated landscapes that have been cradling the Chianti vineyards for centuries, presenting you a harmony of colours that can only be found in the hills of this region.
The sounds, scents and flavours of this land will capture your senses through a unique experience that you will live, relish and comprehend by visiting ancient churches, medieval castles and small villages where the rhythm of life remains unaltered over time.

Day 04 –Pampers  for you

 

A day only for you: enter to SPA center and pamper yourself with a bath in the indoor beate pool, a sauna, a Turkish bath and than enjoy a relaxing massage and a grape pholiphenols (or olive oil) Bath lenght 45 minutes

 

You can complete your “ pamper day “ with a walk in the little town of Gaiole Chiant and your day will become  perfect !

 

Day 05 – Florence

 

Following breakfast you have time to go to a outlet for a real luxury shopping at the Mall, this outlet host exclusive luxury brands at nearly 50% discount rates  . After your shopping you drive to florence to your Hotel, and to start to visit the one of the most beautiful city in the world

 

Day 06 – Florence

Ever wonder why Florence became the birthplace of the Renaissance? Discover facts and secrets of over 2,000 years of Florentine history, from the city’s Roman origins to the interior of a 15th century Palazzo, from the Ponte Vecchio, through the famous Uffizi courtyard, on to the marvel of architecture of Brunelleschi’s Dome of the Cathedral guarded by the golden “Gates of Paradise” of the Baptistery. Have a close encounter with this fascinating city, understanding and appreciating the background and context of its place in history, you visit continues to the Academy. In the afternoon you visit the Uffizi Gallery, this is one of the most famous museums in the world, admired especially for its collection of Renaissance paintings. Your guide will explain the works of the greatest artists from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, speaking for example about Cimabue, Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian, and so forth. You will learn the secrets of the artist’s craft, his techniques, his tools. You can also follow “the money” by hearing about guilds and bankers. The Renaissance in Florence centres on Medici patronage: you will learn how they sponsored artistic projects and commissioned the works now displayed in the Uffizi.
Looking at the most famous artworks of the period, you will understand why Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance. At the end of the tour, the participants can remain in the galleries until closing time.

 

 

Day 7 – Florence

 

Today we suggest you spend the day to shopping or to walking along Arno River or some other Optional Sightseeing.

 

Day 8 – Depart Florence

 

Its time to pack and depart for the airport for your flight back home or onwards to your next destination
